The first discussion about this APS Forum was organised by University of Pannonia, Hungary, Veszprém (www.uni-pannon.hu) and SIL4S, Hungary (www.sil4s.com) in 05.12.2008., Veszprém.
The original goal of the this forum was to gather the specialist, both Process Engineers and Plant Managers, from the Process Industry (Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical, Power Station and Pharmaceutical) who are dealing with and using of

- Advance Process Control (APC)
- Operator Training Simulator (OTS)
- Management Level Information System
This topics was amended with Operation and Production Excellent after the first APS Forum.
The organisation committee also invites PhD students in the PhD Poster section (see call for papers).
